BENGALURU The leadership battle within Karnataka’s ruling Congress government remains unresolved as Siddaramaiah’s camp firmly shuts down speculation of a change in the state’s top post even while supporters of his deputy, DK Shivakumar, head to Delhi to press for a power-sharing agreement.
Siddaramaiah’s son — and party MLA — Yathindra Siddaramaiah publicly rejected rumours of a leadership shift, saying that the central leadership of the Congress has not issued any directive for a change, and that there is “no question” of replacing the current Chief Minister.
The tension spilled into public view again when Siddaramaiah invited Shivakumar for a breakfast meeting on the instructions of Congress central leadership.Delhi The meeting, scheduled to take place on 29 November, aims to clarify the power-sharing controversy that has plagued the state government after the 2023 Assembly win.

Despite the uproar, Siddaramaiah insisted his government remains stable and that there is no factual basis for a leadership change. He emphasized that any decision regarding the Chief Minister’s post rests entirely with the party’s High Command and nothing has changed yet.
