Pakistan’s security forces have killed 14 more militants in a major security operation along the country’s border with Afghanistan. The operation took place during the night of August 8–9 in the Sambaza area of Zhob district, Balochistan. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations , the militants belonged to the banned group Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan .
How the Operation Happened
The operation was carried out at night to stop a group of militants from crossing into Pakistan from Afghanistan. Security forces were already tracking their movement and moved quickly to surround them.

When the militants tried to attack, the forces responded with heavy firepower, killing them on the spot. After the fighting, soldiers searched the area to make sure there were no remaining threats. This process, called a sanitization operation, also helped recover the weapons and explosives the militants carried.
The military says such actions are necessary because militants often try to cross into Pakistan through the mountainous border areas, using the difficult terrain to hide and move secretly.
Leaders Appreciate Military Action
Both Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their quick and professional work.
Minister Naqvi stated that the militants had been eliminated and emphasized the nation’s unwavering support for its armed forces. He also expressed gratitude to the security forces for thwarting potential terrorist attacks that could have endangered innocent lives.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that Pakistan’s security agencies will continue to protect the country and will never allow terrorists to succeed.
Why Pakistan Says the Militants Are India-Backed
Pakistani officials frequently accuse India of supporting certain militant groups. They say India gives these groups resources, training, or encouragement to attack inside Pakistan.
The government calls the TTP fighters Indian proxies because it believes India is using them to destabilize Pakistan, especially in areas near the Afghan border.
Pakistan has also called on the Afghan government to take action and stop these groups from using Afghan soil to plan and launch attacks.
Every successful operation like this sends a strong message: Pakistan will not tolerate militants crossing its borders.
It also shows that the military has strong intelligence and quick response capabilities. By eliminating these threats early, the forces are protecting not only border areas but also cities and towns further inside the country. These actions build public trust in the army and show the international community that Pakistan is actively working to keep the region stable.
