As the new Syrian government demands that Israeli forces completely leave Syrian soil, Israel stated that it is carrying out strikes in southern Syria.
On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the Israeli Army conducted air strikes on military sites in southern Syria that were believed to contain weapons. The strikes came just days after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for the demilitarization of the area.
A war monitor reported that a strike on a military site southwest of Damascus, which served as the headquarters for a military unit, killed at least two people.
