In November 2019, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore explored a unique executive training initiative targeting politicians (legislators), bureaucrats, and businessmen. The institute planned to collaborate with the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie to develop this program.
Program Goals and Vision
The proposed Executive Training Programme aimed to unite representatives from politics, bureaucracy, and business. It would foster dialogue to help participants understand each other’s challenges and collaborate on solutions.
IIM Indore Director Professor Himanshu Rai explained: “The programme aims at bringing together people from three different fields under one roof and promoting dialogue among them. This will help them understand the problems faced by one another and find solutions in terms of ease of doing business.”
The curriculum focused on adapting global “ease of doing business” concepts to India’s context. This would enhance coordination among lawmakers, officials, and businessmen to accelerate national development.
