Delhi Police have stepped up their investigation into the tragic suicide of a 16-year-old Class 10 student from St. Columba’s School.
According to the FIR filed by the student’s father, the boy alleged that multiple teachers, including the headmistress, mocked and intimidated him in front of other students. These classmates told the police that they saw a “pattern” of harassment verbal taunts, threats, and what they perceived as disproportionate disciplinary behaviour.

In addition to questioning students, the police have also retrieved CCTV footage from the school premises, which could corroborate the classmates’ claims.
The case has sparked a wider outcry. Parents, students, and friends of the deceased held a protest outside the school, demanding strong action against the teachers they believe were responsible. Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has asked for a detailed report from the authorities within 10 days to examine the allegations of systemic harassment
