Pokhara is set to host Nomads Basecamp 2026, a three-day festival bringing together digital nomads, entrepreneurs, startup founders, investors, creators, freelancers, remote workers and tourism professionals from Nepal and abroad.
The event will take place from September 25 to 27, 2026, at the Pokhara Event Center, a short walk from the Lakeside area and located near the Annapurna range. The organisers describe it as a “working festival” that combines professional networking with wellness, culture, tourism and Himalayan experiences.
The first day, September 25, will focus on “Build.” The programme will cover technology, artificial intelligence, startups, creators and remote work. It will include founder sessions, investor discussions, workshops, startup networking and opportunities for participants to pitch their ideas.
The second day, September 26, will focus on “Live.” It will bring wellness, lifestyle and community activities into the festival. The programme includes meditation with a monk, mindfulness and community sessions, a scenic 10K run and walk, cultural activities and a sunset after-party overlooking Pokhara.
The final day, September 27, will focus on “Explore.” It will look at tourism, adventure, business and local partnerships. Participants will be able to join discussions about the future of travel in Nepal, meet tourism and business leaders and take part in a World Tourism Day celebration.
According to the organisers, the 2025 edition brought together more than 150 participants from over 30 countries and more than 25 speakers. The organisers say the event is designed to show how Pokhara can work as a place where people can combine remote work with travel and outdoor experiences.
The festival has four main ticket options. The Explorer Pass costs NPR 5,000 for Nepali residents and includes three-day festival access, talks, workshops, panels, networking and a certificate. Accommodation, meals and adventure activities are not included.
The Voyager Pass costs NPR 20,000 and includes three nights of three-star accommodation, daily lunch and airport pickup. The Adventure Pass, priced at NPR 40,000, adds Pokhara sightseeing, the Annapurna cable car and half-day kayaking on Phewa Lake.
For those looking for a longer Himalayan experience, the Legend Pass costs NPR 150,000 and includes four nights of four-star accommodation, the Annapurna Base Camp trek, a licensed guide, permits, porter support and VIP assistance during the festival.
The festival also offers optional activities such as hiking, paragliding, boating, sightseeing and other Himalayan experiences. The Annapurna Base Camp trek is included with the Legend Pass, while several other activities can be booked separately or added depending on the pass.
The organisers say the event is open not only to full-time digital nomads but also to anyone interested in entrepreneurship, remote work, community and adventure. All festival sessions will be conducted in English.
With Phewa Lake, the Annapurna range, trekking routes and a growing remote-work community, Nomads Basecamp is positioning Pokhara as a place where work, business, travel and Himalayan experiences can come together.
