Vijay used the platform to target both DMK and BJP accusing them of neglecting development and failing Puducherry while praising the local Puducherry government for granting rally permission.
He also raised local grievances: infrastructure problems, lack of support for fishermen, and what he described as neglect of Puducherry’s needs.

The event comes after the Karur stampede, which killed 41 people and triggered intense scrutiny over rally-safety.
Through this rally, Vijay appears to signal political resilience showing that he’s ready to resume public campaigning, even under tighter regulation. At the same time, his criticisms of both DMK and BJP suggest he’s positioning his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) as an independent third front.
