Actor Kavin, who stars in the upcoming Tamil film Mask, delivered a heartfelt message to college students during a promotional event in Chennai, urging them not to skip classes in favor of watching his movie. He emphasised that while Mask is important to him, education should always come first.
He suggested that students watch Mask later preferably on a weekend after fulfilling their academic obligations.
Kavin also framed cinema as a form of joy, rather than a distraction from life’s responsibilities.
The actor’s genuine and mature outlook struck a chord with students in the audience. His comments quickly went viral on social media, enhancing the buzz around Mask while reinforcing his image as someone who cares about more than just box office numbers.
Kavin’s speech drew comparisons to Tamil cinema legend Ajith Kumar, who has famously urged fans to “focus on life first,” rather than idolise him. Kavin himself cited Ajith as a major inspiration and credited him with influencing his responsible views on work and life
